Boosting Appearances: !QMS Oxygen Facial

After promising myself a facial every 3 to 4 months, I made an appointment with Lindsay at the Lash & Beauty Room.
Upon arrival, Lindsay explained that I should have the SK Alpha facial because I had previously received the !QMS Classic Collagen facial and she wanted to try something more stimulating yet nourishing for my skin. The SK Alpha treatment helps brighten dull, sallow skin and stimulates the microcirculation of the skin. For me being extremely busy and athletic, she thought it was a good choice to brighten the skin and create a natural glow. This facial is also detoxifying, draining away toxins and helping clear up any spots that are on the skin and about to show up.

As luck would have it, The Lash & Beauty Room had received the !QMS Medicosmetics Oxygen Energy Applicator to test for the week, and in combination with the oxygen the result of this facial is supposed to last for much longer because the penetration of products is much deeper.

Step 1: DEEP CLEANSING
Step one involved a deep cleansing of the skin, cleaning the pores and enhancing the dermal permeability. The result of deep cleansing is to facilitate and improvement in absorption of other skincare products.

Step 2: GENTLE EXFOLIANT CREAM
The gentle exfoliant cream is a very gentle way of sloughing away dead cells from the outermost layer of epidermis without causing redness making sure it moisturises and soothes skin.

Step 3: OXYGEN
QMS medicosmetics oxygen energy applicator provides 98% pure oxygen to boost oxygen intake & oxygen supply to cells resulting in intense, immediate and long lasting results. Oxygen concentration in the atmosphere today is only 21% compared to 40% centuries ago. A gentle spray is applied all over the skin resulting in faster cell turnover, immediate radiance in the skin and ensuring subsequent product penetration is much deeper.

Step 4: COLLAGEN
Collagen is then applied to skin with tapping movements creating an immediate firming effect and leaving the skin moisturized and smooth with the benefit of reducing fine lines and wrinkles. It also restructures the connective tissue, which gives it the firmness.

Step 5: SK ALPHA MASK
The sore step of the facial is the actual SK Alpha mask which stimulates and revitalises the skin, improving circulation. The SK Mask is painted on the face, neck and décolleté and boosts the skins absorption capacity.

Step 6:
Gauze and eyepads are soaked in a solution of QMS freshening tonic and night collagen and then applied over the SK ALPHA mask. Aluminium thermoregulation foil is placed over the gauze and eye pads to intensify the effect. It is left on for about 5 minutes and the remainder of the treatment is massaged into the skin.

Step 7: ALGAE MASK
The algae mask has a cooling effect on the skin and provides plenty of moisture. It soothes and calms the skin after the SK ALPHA MASK which itched a bit as I could feel it working and penetrating my skin.

Step 8: ADVANCED INTENSIVE EYE CARE
We often forget about our eyes and this intensive eye care cream relaxes the delicate area around eyes, protecting them against free radical damage and tenseness.

It doesn’t end there, NECK AND MORE is applied to immediately reduce fine lines and wrinkles, firming and regenerating the skin. The final product application is my favourite, which I now use on a daily basis in the mornings: The Sport Active moisturizing cream contains SPF15 as well as a slight tint to give off a natural glow and replacing my foundation on a day to day basis.

This facial gave an instant boost to my skin, leaving it visibly firmer with a clear complexion and natural glow, which has once again been commented upon numerous times over the past week. I am by no means a beauty guru or editor but the effects of the !QMS Medicosmetics facials speak for themselves. In a world where I am not often able to take time out for such luxuries during the day, realised that this is 90minutes of pure heaven which I will continue to afford myself every few months.
